In 2018, I spent 7 months traveling around the world. I’m extremely lucky, I know. It was a remarkable opportunity to dive into new experiences, cultures, and environments. I learned so much from people and places, and I’m still thinking through and trying to internalize the many lessons of resilience and courage that I learned. Experiencing how folks in Lombok, Indonesia are defining family and hard work and determination; how Cambodians are rebuilding lives and livelihoods following the genocide; and how Argentinians use flavorful meals and delicious Malbec at all hours of the day to connect with loved ones, colleagues, and neighbors.
I’m working on logging all of the adventures I experienced during those 7 months, as well as others I’ve taken, here on AnnaLogsIt.com. I hope this travelogue inspires some wanderlust, pushes you to start saving for or planning your next trip, and maybe even teaches you something new about different parts of the world.
